What’s New Wednesday #8

Can I tell you that there is so much running around in this head of mine?! Spring Break is working me but in a very good way!

I am working on a personal goal of mine and actually got the ball rolling and let me tell you it is kind of scary but very exciting all the same!

I did some thought processes on my blog and what I want to do with it along with my new venture that is Fitness Love.  I got the design in the works and can’t wait for it!

I got some planning down on paper so that I know where I am wanting to go when I have moments that I can’t figure it out or plain forgot.

I was able to have lunch with friends today and it was so nice to see them both. They are both strong and awesome people.

I had made a list of things I wanted to accomplish this week and some of those things are coming true, but let me tell you it is also nice to know that if I don’t get them done it is no real big deal. I should have named it my wish list. Either way I am having fun doing some of things and using the list as a guideline, and doing other things that just feel like they should be done.

Nick and I are going to check out a new baby seat and car stroller soon and I can’t wait to pick it out. I think it will be so much fun!

5 weeks to go until it is officially baby time. I can’t wait. I want to meet the little bugger!

My friend Elizabeth is throwing me the shower and I love her. She is so spunky and full of energy and makes me laugh when I need it most. She keeps me sane when there are times I might pull my hair out. She is one of a few I can do this with and I am so thankful we got to meet her and enjoy her spunkiness. She is a gem.

Mitch Seavey won the Iditarod this year and is on record now as the oldest person to win. His son Dallas won it last year and was the youngest. I think Dallas came in 4th and made incredible time catching up the last day. Dallas is a cutie – and since his dad won I am sure he will still get TV time – yeah!

Side note and totally unrelated – my husband is playing Zelda for Super Nintendo and is getting mad at it….kind of funny in itself.

Off to update and finish my baby registry at Target…can’t wait for my baby shower on the 30th!

What’s New Wednesday #6

Got to love those days that are so crazy that you just don’t know how you are going to make it through – but then you do :) Yeah , that was yesterday – but I am here now aren’t I?

I always chuckle when people ask me about blogging – 1 blog, 1 website about Fitness Love that is under some construction, two twitters, two FB’s, Pinterest, Instagram, and possible a couple other ventures that I am throwing around…how do I do it with keeping two kids together, a husband happy, work, BeachBody coaching, and school….Yeah – I don’t always. I do fail and I am not always proud of it.

What I have found though is that if I don’t hold myself to a higher standard and do my best to meet that everyday – I will not be happy. I might seem like I am taking on too much, but it has made me such a better planner – you wouldn’t even believe it.

There are some things that have fallen to the wayside from time to time, but sometimes that is for the best as they were more of a distraction than anything. I am just happy that I could recognize that instead of beating myself up over it. I was able to peacefully let go and move on. Like flushing a dead goldfish down the drain. He was fun while he was around, but there is always a time where it either ends, or you progress – or die in the goldfish’s situation. Bad analogy I know. It is late – give me break.

I have found that I like to be busy. I know I like to sit around too. I would rather relax on a massage table for an hour than sit and watch tv to be honest, but tv is cheaper.  I like to feel accomplished to the point that I will write down how many loads of laundry I did to prove to myself that I may not feel like I accomplished anything – but according to my handy dandy list I was.  Crazy and OCD-ish, I know. But hey, it works for me.

That is what today is about, finding what works for you.  I have found that even though I would love to make 10 goals each week (you should totally join us for the Weekly Chase Link-Up each Monday for encouragement), this week 5 was all I could handle. I know my limits and am getting better at recognizing them and embracing them.

What have you found that makes you embrace your strengths and weaknesses?

Do you ever judge yourself on only the things you didn’t do? Why?

You are good at whatever it is you choose to do – so embrace it!

Also – don’t forget to check out the giveaway from yesterday!
