Fitness Friday 6.14.13

Fitness Friday 6.14.13 is going to feature more than one week worth of stuff since I didn’t post it last week – I think you will be okay with that, now won’t you?

My interval recaps – maybe they aren’t the best – but lets recall I have not really run in the year and a half we have been here in Alaska! Oh and the picture of me and Elizabeth was the first day we got up at 4 am to do this – I assure you we aren’t as happy anymore – but we are still doing it!

Crazy Change

Life is crazy – wouldn’t you agree?  I find myself realizing who I am more and more each day! I laugh because I started this blog originally as a crafting website. Then as I found fitness and health it went more that direction. Then as a mom of now 3 girls – I find myself want to share them and the things we do to make life fun.

I still want to share my fitness journey as it evolves all the time – I think plenty of mom’s would understand my struggles of getting back the body after baby, finding time for themselves, and making it all work while not losing yourself. I workout, go to work, blog, and take care of my family as best as I can and in the way of the Proverbs 31 Woman – but sometimes I wonder how that woman didn’t lost her sanity – ya know?

I love food – not everything is healthy, even though I try! I food prepping, but sometimes it just doesn’t happen and crap will end up on our plate. Do I feel like the worlds worst mom ever? No. I can’t live life like that – you? I need a crazy change.

I like a clean house, does that mean that mine is? Of course not! Does it bug  me? Of course it does! There are just some things that can wait and sometimes running for my sanity is a much bigger priority. Ya heard?

I want to do more projects with my kiddos – we like arts and crafts and I like them being occupied with things other than TV, but I want them to have something to look at and say – I did that!  It also looks like we are going to be getting out more now that Alaska is having actual summer weather!

I want to take more pictures – it actually is really beautiful here despite my constant bitching about the cold and darkness in the winter. I need to stop, really, I do.

I want to do more varied things in the way of fitness. I love my running – I absolutely do. I just have to figure out something other than that. I like at home workouts (hello BeachBody) but I also like to go to a gym and get involved with other people. What do you like to do or what should I try?

As I said at the beginning – I now have three beautiful girls. I want them to remember the fun times we had. I have some with my mom – but not really any that I cherish (I am not being mean, I am just being honest).  I don’t want that for my girls. I want them to have those. Things that they can look back on and really say – “I loved doing that with my mom.” Who wouldn’t?

Look forward to some changes – but not everything will change, just some things. All for the good. Life is going to be awesome - just you wait and see!
