January Is Here…Again.

January is here…again and you are going to need to dip deep to plan for success this year. Crazy, isn’t it? It seems like it was just January 2016. Time flies and I have no clue where it went since I think everyone can agree that it really wasn’t a fantastic one. I can’t say that it was bad, as I know I had some really great time with my husband, kiddos, and friends. I just know that there were some nagging things that hung around and were more of like an annoyance when they decided to pop up. I know it happens and I know it will probably happen again this year. The thing that will change about it, is that I am going to bless it and release it. My dear friend Dana told me that phrase and I really am going to embrace it!

I am taking today to really seek my goals at the core. We all have nice general ideas of what we want…I want to lose 10 pounds….I want to eat better…I want to read more….and those are all great things! I believe when we want to make these things a success, we really need to look at them and find out what it will really take to make them happen and be successful! You need to dig deep. What exercises, days, and time are you going to do such activity? What are you going to cut out and add to you diet? Do you h ave recipes? What books are you going to read? I really think you need to dig deeper than just creating an idea of what you want.

I know for me today will involve a pencil, my planner, and the internet helping me make sure I am fully prepared to take off with a huge possibility of success. I want to really put my best foot forward. Today, my planning day, took a huge step by getting up and getting my husband prepared for work and showering. I think that when you get up and put yourself together you are going to be more successful than if you sit around in PJ’s. Not saying I don’t love hanging out in my PJ’s, I just know that I can start my day off with action.

What are your goals/resolutions/changes, that you want to make this year?   I have a few and I will be revealing them as I go this year. I can’t wait to share this journey with you!

Start Your Day The Right Way

Start Your Day The Right Way!You heard it here – start your day the right way. There are so many things that you probably do as a routine each and every morning once you get up.  Yet somehow, you still feel as if you are not getting as much done as you had hope, feel rushed, or just feel like you cannot get it together at all.

After having 3 moves, 3 jobs, 3 different daycare drop-offs in the last 5 years – I can tell you I understand. I had to stop, sit back, and take a look at what was happening and what wasn’t. There comes a time where even your regular routine needs to change.

Change is a scary word, but it is often necessary, especially when things end up putting you in a completely new job, town, or even state. Heck, even when you just continually find yourself angry at what you are not accomplishing during a day.  This is why I have many times sat down and really looked at what I do daily. I have changed routines and quickly thrown out what does not work, and implemented what has. Even though most things work for many, that doesn’t mean it will work for all.

However, in the different places I have found myself and my routine, I know there are certain things that absolutely work. They can also help you. I call them, my “Top 5 Secrets to a Peaceful Morning.”

I am going to share these 5 secrets with those who are on my email list starting December 1st – all the way through the end of the month. You don’t want to miss out on that and many other time-saving tips and tricks for life in general! If you want to make sure you are included in this, just drop your email in the comments below!

March Reflection

March was a month that was good. I can’t really complain as I do some reflection. It wasn’t one that completely stands out, but there sure were some good days!

Ryley finished up her tutoring and I can completely say with confidence that this program put on by some of the teachers was a success for my child. She gained confidence and you can tell that in her work. She actually shares her papers with us and wants to do her work!

Ryley also turned 7. My middle child is 7. Oh this makes my heart hurt for sure.

My middle….

The next week my in-laws came to visit which always is a good time. We experienced a place to eat called the “Waffle King” and of course some of our favorites like The Fort Mitchell Grill. You can never go wrong with a burger from there.

Then the night I had been waiting for – the 4th RTB Ball. I love getting dressed up and being taken out. I even got to dance and I did get to meet new people and enjoy myself. I loved it. We were one of the last ones to leave and we got home before midnight. I can’t wait till next year all ready! (Not really any pictures since I didn’t take my phone so I could really enjoy myself)

The next week I took my youngest and her friend to a movie at the National Infantry Museum. We watched Cinderella on a HUGE screen for free. I like free!

Easter was filled with fun with my sister, niece, and brother-in-law. I love family visits and they always seen to go too fast. We did get to watch my Abby get an award for making the A Honor Roll both the 2nd and 3rd Nine Weeks of School. I am pretty proud to say the least!

The weekend also had Fred & Lester’s Restaurant, grilling out back, and a crab boil. Mmmmmm

Easter dinner!

Soccer started yesterday and should provide some excitement to say the least. I just hope that Ryley scores more than 1 goal to top last year, and Abby remembers that she is not the only kid playing on the team 😉

How was your march?
