March Reflection

March was a month that was good. I can’t really complain as I do some reflection. It wasn’t one that completely stands out, but there sure were some good days!

Ryley finished up her tutoring and I can completely say with confidence that this program put on by some of the teachers was a success for my child. She gained confidence and you can tell that in her work. She actually shares her papers with us and wants to do her work!

Ryley also turned 7. My middle child is 7. Oh this makes my heart hurt for sure.

The next week my in-laws came to visit which always is a good time. We experienced a place to eat called the “Waffle King” and of course some of our favorites like The Fort Mitchell Grill. You can never go wrong with a burger from there.

Then the night I had been waiting for – the 4th RTB Ball. I love getting dressed up and being taken out. I even got to dance and I did get to meet new people and enjoy myself. I loved it. We were one of the last ones to leave and we got home before midnight. I can’t wait till next year all ready! (Not really any pictures since I didn’t take my phone so I could really enjoy myself)

The next week I took my youngest and her friend to a movie at the National Infantry Museum. We watched Cinderella on a HUGE screen for free. I like free!

Easter was filled with fun with my sister, niece, and brother-in-law. I love family visits and they always seen to go too fast. We did get to watch my Abby get an award for making the A Honor Roll both the 2nd and 3rd Nine Weeks of School. I am pretty proud to say the least!

The weekend also had Fred & Lester’s Restaurant, grilling out back, and a crab boil. Mmmmmm

Easter dinner!

Soccer started yesterday and should provide some excitement to say the least. I just hope that Ryley scores more than 1 goal to top last year, and Abby remembers that she is not the only kid playing on the team 😉

How was your march?

#lalunenaturals Review

That is right – a review for you of #lalunenaturals Coconut Oil.

I have been a user of coconut oil for a bit now – I use it with my essential oils. I typically use them with my kids on their feet so that they will actually sleep. I started when we were in Alaska with a blend to help them sleep since the sun doesn’t like to set in the summer, and they also don’t like to sleep. I have gotten away from it a little but since we just moved. I know I need to get that started again – my kids hate bedtime!

I also had started to use it on my skin as a moisturizer and to help with my sun exposure. I dry out pretty fast because I like to get some sun, and I don’t drink enough water. I usually hate this process of moisturizing because you have to walk around for a bit to get the greasy feeling gone.

Enter La Lune and their Fractionated Coconut Oil.  I was impressed from the get go. Why? When I opened the bottle to put in the free pump that comes with it, I couldn’t. The bottle was literally filled to the top with oil. I had to use some first with the pop-up cap. Such an issue to have, right? Who fills their bottles that full anymore? Usually you open it and there is like 1 inch of empty. Since it is an oil it can’t be blamed on settling. So I was forced to use it right away – and I was very pleased with the results. I was worried I would be greasy and couldn’t do anything for a bit, but that was not the case. I was surprised with the lack of grease, and carried on about my morning. This is perfect for the person who is always late in the morning, or just hates that feel (I don’t anyone who likes it).

This bottle is huge. 16 ounces for $16.99 – this may or may not be expensive – I didn’t think so for the amount that came . The bottle is the biggest I have ever purchased, and remember how full I said it was?! Definitely got my 16 ounces.

Perfect for those who are using it as a carrier oil, wanting to soften their hair, or moisturize with it. You will not be disappointed at all. I did receive this product for a review – but all opinions are my own!

I was so lucky to receive this box on my doorstep! Vanilla Bean and Chocolate Velvet – HEAVEN! I have a love of protein powders in general but this one is just a tad bit different!  It is called Sustained Energy.

I tried this product a couple different ways. I first and foremost had this for an afternoon snack at work so that I would hopefully still be ready and able to make it through my workout later that day. This happened around 1 or 2 pm (usually) and I was able to make it through my workout – and I didn’t find myself as ravished for dinner afterwards. I felt like I was able to eat a normal portion and not feel like I was dying from lack of energy. This is a plus because I usually only have so much time to eat anyways with baby, and household chores, and homework to do after work for the VERY next day *sigh*.

After about a week of using this and really noticing a difference – I decided to up my game. There are some mornings that I struggle after my morning workout due to the baby not sleeping well or staying up to get things done. dw3In walks my bright idea to add it to my oatmeal.  I hate the taste of oatmeal but know it is good for me. I tend to add protein powder to it for flavor and some extra ump. Why not give it some added energy? This allowed me to power through my morning a better. I saw more results after doing this a couple days in a row for sure. It was nice to feel kind of refreshed and ready for the next part of my morning which entailed getting three girls ready for school and myself to work – AH!

I definitely think this product has found a great market for busy people like me who need help with the busy days that life brings.

Want to give a try you say?  Let me know what flavor you would try – Vanilla Bean or Chocolate Velvet!
