Meet Lynda & FITNESSMOMWINECOUNTRY

Meet Lynda – Owner of FITNESSMOMWINECOUNTRY

My name is Lynda and welcome to Fitnessmomwinecountry.  I am a mother of three children.  One off in college and two still home here with us for many more years of embarrassing them and teaching them life lessons, while also teaching and talking about healthy foods and lifestyle.  After all, we are our children’s teachers.

I am married to my best friend and after 15 years my obvious soul mate.  My husband’s name is Jeremy, our children are Michael, Noah and Faith.  We live in the most beautiful setting of Sonoma, CA.  The “Wine Country” and absolutely love it.  We are surrounded by beautiful and wonderful food, amazing wines, and just my luck my hubby is an ex chef – restaurateur. We also have our two cats and we can’t forget about Stryker the family “baby”.  Stryker goes everywhere we go. He too lives a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise and clean eating.  Grains and veggies are a fav of his.

Along with good food and wine, comes my passion for fitness. I have always been very aware of my body, yet also very critical of it. The ups and downs of the body issues and struggles with those extra pounds here and there. Totally understanding that we all have the same issues and struggles. The same insecurities. This is why I started Fitnessmomwinecountry.  She is my passion and the start of my dream. She is me and she is all of you. I wanted to take my own personal journey and knowledge and pay it forward. Positive energy, pure motivation and determination make each day a new journey. Baby steps are better than no steps.

This is the next chapter in my life and I can’t wait to share it with you and have us all take the same journey to happy and  healthy lifestyles.  Loving ourselves and bodies enough to want to keep them going for a long time.  Enough for our children to look up to us and be inspired by us.  To be healthy enough to play with our children and have fun.
I hope you follow and enjoy my site, as I share my stories, family and food.
I love to hear your feedback and comments so please join in.

**This and more on her About Me Section at FITNESSMOMWINECOUNTRY
Lynda has every intention of building these events she does in Sonoma and will be giving back once she is able.  She is still just getting the word out about her events.  “Right now my focus is on creating these in order to have women and or couples spend a day or two just being healthy, having fun, enjoying new faces, being outdoors in the wine country and while enjoying fresh, organic and healthy meals (of course some wine) but we can live the lifestyle and be smart and healthy about it.”
To boot – here are five fun facts about Lynda:
I love to take naps (whenever a chance to do so arrives)
I am a competitive person at heart….board games especially
Hiking is a favorite of mine to do…even more so with my family
A good glass of champagne is always okay to have….no special occasion needed
My heart is huge, therefore more love to share

Military Strong Bonds Marriage Retreat to Seward, Alaska

So to get out of dodge and for a vacation paid for by the military – we went on a marriage retreat! We had a presentation put on via DVD and Mr Gunger. It was great!! It would only have been better if he was live!!!  Here are some of the views!

This mountain has a marathon run up it and one person was even missing for a bit after the race ended – but was eventually found with an injury.

This picture above was right out our door!

The water in the picture above is a really cool green color becuase it is glacier water :)

This was date night with the hubby which was delicious FRESH crab legs and steak :)

We always joke that we really need help so we go on all the marriage retreats we can – but in all honesty – the Army pays for us to get to know our spouses better and spend time with the entire family. We will not be part of the high divorce rate of the US Army.

Playlist Thursday – Most Appearances

We are creatures of habit and when we find an artist that we like, chances are they make a repeat appearance on the playlist. What artist appears the most on your playlist? We can bend the rules a bit, list one of their oldest and one of their newest ON YOUR PLAYLIST and let the “consider” be a random song or your favorite.

**Is anyone else having problems linking YouTube???**

Rules:

Something Old: Songs that are at least 5 years old. (I know that isn’t too long to be considered old, but music turnover happens quickly.)
Something Current: Songs that have been released within the past year.
Something to Consider: This is the wild card category. Feel free to list any song: old, current, guilty pleasure, underground, whatever.

Something Old:

Artist: Queen & David Bowie

Title: Under Pressure

Side Note: I worked at a friend’s bowling ally for extra cash and they had a jukebox with great tunes like this one and it has been on my iPod ever since Day 1!

Quotable: ” It’s the terror or knowing what this world is about”

Something Current:

Artist: Timbaland & Justin Timberlake

Title: Carry Out

Quotable: “Number one, I’ll take two number threes – Thats a whole out of you and a side of me”

Something To Consider:

Artist: Big Time Rush

Title: Boyfriend

Side Note: I am balming this on my need to have a beat that I can change up and this is a pretty steady beat!

Quotable: “Your boy boy b-b-boy-b-b-boyfriend – Your boy boy b-b-boy-b-b-boyfriend – Your boy boy b-b-boy-b-b-boyfriend – Your boy boy b-b-boy-b-b-boyfriend” :)
